I was really surprised to see this restaurant built between the pillars of the church. My astonishment increased when I walked to the other side of the church: between each pair of pillars is a souvenir shop.

Whereas yew seeds are toxic, the red fruits around them can be eaten… this is what I have just read, I have to admit I have never tried.

I could not leave Alsace without trying to take pictures of storks. These birds are the symbol of the region; they had nearly disappeared a few decades ago, but nowadays, efforts are made to get them back building their nests on the top of churches, houses and other buildings.
